Compliance and Administration Assistant

Position Summary:

Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is looking for a responsible temporary consultant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Compliance and Administration Assistant include providing support to the Foundation’s Director of Facilities and Administration, assisting in nonprofit compliance filings for federal, state and local agencies and managing the Foundation's general administrative activities.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent (minimum of 34 credit hours and an additional one (1) year of relevant full-time experience).
  • Experience working with government offices preferred
  • Experience in research and analysis of government and local regulations
  • Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
  • Strong computer skills with a focus on Microsoft applications and internet navigation
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Review and edit federal and state compliance documents 
  • Validate company information prior to submission to ensure all fields are populated in accordance with the jurisdiction’s requirements.
  • Data entry of the Foundation’s financial and general information onto compliance documents
  • Drafting weekly status reports and communicating results
  • Actively manage project workload and effectively prioritize work based on filing deadlines
  • File official documents into central filing system
  • Other administrative functions as assigned by Director of Facilities and Administration
