National Manager - Remote Position

Position summary: Provide leadership, vision and support to maximize the endurance fundraising execution within the Team Challenge and spin4 crohn’s & colitis cures campaigns

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years peer-to-peer fundraising experience
  • Minimum 2 years direct staff management experience
  • Significant skills in planning, budgeting, and volunteer development
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Ability to work as member of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Familiarity with Team Challenge and the endurance industry

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Direct management of a group Team Challenge Endurance Managers
  • Manage and work closely with an Assistant National Manager (if applicable)
  • Assess and evaluate existing events
  • Strategic Planning
  • Create and Implement Best Practices and Policies
  • Liaison between Endurance Managers and national staff.  (i.e. marketing, patient services, finance, IT department)
  • Work with Marketing Department on marketing and public relation initiatives
  • Monitor team event budgets and recommend cost saving strategies
  • Develop tools and systems to assist Endurance Managers in more efficient fundraising
  • Manage integration with local chapter activities
  • Ongoing training to event volunteers, local board committees and chapter staff through conferences, regional meetings, conference calls and professional development opportunities
  • Responsible for the development and marketing of sponsorship, partnership opportunities, and other fundraising initiatives within territory
  • Responsible for hiring and training for all open positions within territory
  • Responsibility to cover teams when a staff vacancy occurs
  • Evaluate IT systems and identify areas for improvement
  • Keep abreast of National and Chapter activities and properly utilize and/or obtain resources necessary to achieve results
  • Assure proper use and management security and upkeep of Foundation facilities, equipment and documents
  • Other duties as assigned
